The Holy Rosary is the Saving Word of God on Beads

"The Rosary is the compendium of the entire Gospel" (Pope Paul VI quoting Pope Pius XII)

“Indeed, the word of God is living and effective, sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating even between soul and spirit, joints and marrow, and able to discern reflections and thoughts of the heart.” (Hebrew 4:12)

In the NT, John described Jesus Christ as “the Word”: “In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. ... The Word became flesh and lived for a while among us” (John 1:1,2,14a).

John said “...His name is the Word of God” (Rev. 19:13b); and, “Out of his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations” (19:15a).

God's Word (Jesus) reveals and heals. For example, His words cuts through falseness, pointing out the truth, and exposing inner thoughts and motivations. So, like a double-edged sword, God's Word has the power to bring death or, most mercifully, to restore life through the power, authority, love, and forgiveness of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

That is why we should read the Bible, especially the NT, the written Word of God, regularly (daily). By believing in “the Word” and by speaking “the Word,” we are capable of commanding demons to flee our presence (and the presence of others) with the same Authority and Power Jesus had and of abating the effects Satan and the powers of evil have on our lives.

Wielding the “sword of the Spirit, the word of God,” we can slash through obstacles such as disease, fear, depression and even our vices.

The Holy Rosary is the saving words of God on beads. When we pray with such devotion and attentiveness, we can defend ourselves against the forces of hell, and obtain graces that can transform not only us, but society as a whole. It is for this reason, St. Paul advises us, “Put on the armor of God so that you may be able to stand firm against the tactics of the devil. For our struggle is not with flesh and blood but with the principalities, with the powers, with the world rulers of this present darkness, with the evil spirits in the heavens.” (Eph. 6:12)
